The experiences and accomplishments of one's life complete the picture of a personal background. Here you can learn more about this network representative.

Kathleen started life as a school teacher and believes that at the core of her business, the teacher remains. No one likes to be "sold" anything. Clients want to be understood and work with an financial representative who holds the client's best interest as a primary objective. Then, the financial representative's professional duty is to try to help the client find and understand solutions to achieve their objectives. Just as a teacher focuses on each student as an individual, Kathleen focuses on each client as a unique person with distinct personal, financial and professional goals.

Kathleen has lived in Naperville for 25 years. Her son, David, is a software engineer in San Francisco; her daughter, Julia, is married and lives in Norfolk, Virginia where she works as an Ocean Mapper with NOAA.

One of Kathleen's proudest accomplishments has been to found and lead the "Harvard Business School Club of Chicago Fund". This charitable foundation, started in 2004 with money the alumni club earned several years ago while Kathleen was president, serves to "Educate leaders who make a difference in Chicago". To date, over 50 leaders of non-profit firms have been sponsored by the fund to attend a leadership course at the Harvard Business School. Returning participants claim that this course changed the way they run their organizations.

Kathleen just stepped down from the Board of Spark Ventures, where she served since 2015, to spend more time with the above mentioned Charitable Fund. Spark is a non profit organization focused on "Business Driven Philanthropy" -- investing human and financial resources to lift communities out of poverty. We teach people to fish rather than donate dinner. Spark invests in local agri-businesses in emerging market economies. The return on investment and majority of profits provide a sustainable revenue stream for high-impact health and education programs to benefit the poorest children in these communities.
